Mercy Service Day
Carlow first-year students will participate in annual event.

October 14, 2009, Carlow first-year students will participate in our fifth annual Mercy Service Day. During this day-long event, students will serve at a variety of community partner organizations helping to beautify the surrounding community, visiting with elderly residents, fundraising and more. Upperclass students will participate in on-campus teach-ins on local and global issues. Contact the Service-Learning and Outreach Center staff for more information.

Leaders in Service
Carlow students encouraged to apply

The “Leadership in Service Program” is a new initiative for Carlow students who are already engaged in a significant amount of community service, community based research, or social advocacy, and are interested in receiving training throughout the year. Participating students would continue on their path to becoming leaders by participating in discussions centered around community issues, leadership styles, setting short and long term goals, and regularly reflecting on service. Contact the Service-Learning and Outreach Center staff for more information.
